Ridiculousness

Music is the essence of my life.

...that being said, here's my post.

Insanity.

I've neglected my blog for way too long. Writing has been focused to other areas of my existence, and I apologize for anyone that stumbles upon this blog last updated almost half a year ago.

=/

Sorry.

A lot has changed over these past 5 months tho.

Most notably, and most exciting, was going from one relationship to another relationship without ever actually being single... yeah yeah, say what you want... but you can't help it when you finally fall in love with that special someone, even though that someone happens to be a different someone than the someone that you have something with.

Nutshell: Bethany Ann is amazing.

On the musical side of my life --

gigs are going well... I have a recurring one now, at a bar/bistro/restaurant called Brewster's in Twinsburg. It's a 4 hour gig, that pays well and is always rewarded with a stellar crowd. Nothing gets 'em going like "Lightning Crashes" to open my second set, and then "A Day in the Life" and "Purple Rain" right around 11:30!

I finally saw John Mayer live... his guitar playing blew my fucking mind, tho overall I had a much better concert experience watching his opener Michael Franti and Spearhead! They were incredibly energetic, got the crowd going like no other support act I've ever seen (Robert Randolph doing "Billie Jean" included" .... interestingly enough, MF&Spearhead also did a Billie Jean breakdown that totally kicked ass) and when Franti got offstage with his guitar and started singing "Hey Hey Hey" from the aisle of section 130 with people all around him, it was more than memorable.

I got tickets to 3 Dave Matthews Band concerts this summer; Columbus, Cincinnati, and Cleveland! If more money comes my way, I'll do The Gorge as well ::super excited face:: C-bus will be Beth's first DMB concert, and she's stoked! We have general admission seating, so we'll get there early to get front/center ;) Cinci will be with my sister, for our annual bro/sis DMB @ Riverbend roadtrip [last few years have been the best shows of the summer, so hopefully we'll keep that trend alive]. As for Blossom, to commemorate my 26th DMB concert, I'll be going with the guy who really got me into the band over a decade ago... Jordan Thomas. So that'll be a blast for sure!

Also gunna see Paramore and Relient K next month... I'm sure they'll be good. That Hayley girl is kinda cute. Plus, I have very good luck at Lifestyles Pavilion... I've gotten setlists, t-shirts signed by Dashboard Confessional, a drumstick... so I'm sure I'll get a good show =)

So Beth and I went to L.A. for spring break to visit my best friend Adam! I'll tell ya about that tomorrow or later this week tho, cuz I'm watchin' Friends and wanna focus ;)

*Note about L.A. tho: TONS of celebrities!!
